Rules
General Rules
- The judges reserve the right to stop any performance at any time if there is a health and safety risk or the entrant has disregarded the rules.
- The judges reserve the right to disqualify any entrant that disregards the rules at any time.
- All entrants will be responsible for their own belongings at all events, the competition organizer will not be responsible for loss or damage to any belongings.
- All entrants must be available for a photo shoot/promotional before and after the event and consent to use of those materials by the organizer.
- The judges' decision is final
- The organizer is not liable for any injury or damage caused from participating in this event and all entrants are participating at their own risk and free will.
- The organizer reserves the right to amend these rules at any time if necessary; however the entrants will be informed of any changes made.
- Entrants must allow the organizer to take and use photos and videos for media publicity, promotional materials and wherever they deem fit.
- Entrants must not be under the influence of drugs or alcohol at any time during the events, including strength enhancing products.
- Any entrant failing to show up in the event or cancelling his/her participation less than 30 days prior to the event will be excluded from participating in any Pole Art events for the following two years. The only exception is an illness verified by a doctor.
Registration form
An official registration form will be sent to the qualified performers before 10 July, 2011. By filling out and signing the Registration form, the participants agree to the Conditions and terms of the organizer and to the General rules outlined below.
Music
The allowed length of the performance is 02:30 - 03:30 minutes. Original mixes or combination of several songs is allowed, as long as the final performance music is supplied as one entity. The qualified performers must supply the organizer with their music of choice in CD or mp3-format no later than 1 August, 2011.
Grip aids
Chemical grip aids are allowed in hands and on body but they must be easy to clean from the pole. All grip aids must be approved by the organizers before use!
Outfits
The routines and outfits must show good taste. All styles are welcome (sporty, stylish fashion, avant garde artistic) but excessive sexuality is not - it will lead to loss of points in the performance category of the evaluation. For women, the minimum coverage is: top covering most of the breasts and shorts or hotpants covering most of the butt cheeks. For men, the minimum coverage is shorts or briefs covering most of the butt cheeks. Wearing shoes or heels is allowed but in the competition series, the shoes must not reach above the ankle.
